Leadership is very important when it comes to a virtual team’s success. When a leader is not as effective as they should be teams may not meet their goals or objectives. Relationships can be damaged between the leader and the team members. Lack of clear responsibilities and roles can have a huge effect on virtual teams (Lepsinger, 2015). Virtual teams are made up of mostly diverse cultures. Culture makes it difficult to freely speak one’s mind in some cases (Nelson, 2015). These cultures have their own beliefs, customs, and work habits. With members have their own customs and beliefs, this can be a challenge with members following their own way of working.
