The aim of this report is to discuss Teen Pregnancy, to inform you on this social issue and provide answers to questions you may have. Hopefully to bring some insight to you on this issue.

Definition 1.2

What is teen pregnancy? Its when a girl between the ages of 14-19 fall pregnant, teen mothers are at higher risks of being judged by peers, family and the social eye compared to elder mothers.

Who does teen pregnancy effect? 2.1

The main person effected was obviously the soon to be mother, soon to be father the unborn baby and their parents. The mother becomes more likely to drop out of school, less then one third of teen mums don 't receive child support so they turn to the government and rely on them for assistance. 1 in 4 teen mothers experience another pregnancy within 2 years of their first. Most teen mothers do not have the intellectual or emotional maturity that is needed to provide for another life.

Children born from teen pregnancies are usually born pre mature, resulting in long life conditions. Studies show adolescent mothers are less likely to show their child affectionate gestures as well as daughters born to adolescent parents are more likely to become a teen mum themselves and sons are three times more likely to serve time in prison. Teen mothers are at a higher risk of dealing with medical issues throughout the their pregnancy. Teens are at a higher risk of nutritional deficiencies from poor eating habits…
