Teamwork is very important for the success of a company. The company and staff become more familiar with each other and learn how to work together. A successful teamwork allows them to complete tasks efficiently and quickly. I am the new member in this team, my position title is ‘Team Leader of Distribution and Warehousing’. It is a front line management position. There are 12 team members, from different backgrounds and with differing levels of expertise. Some of them have worked for a couple years in the division and other are relatively new. Before transferred to my division, they some have worked in another department. I am wondering how to integrate new member onto an existing team? The senior managers of the organization have found out …show more content…
Each stage has its own development team to identify feelings and behavior. To understand why things are happened in some ways of the team, can become an important part of a self-evaluation process. These four stages are to identify patterns of behavior of a team of useful framework.

Stage 1: Forming
In the forming stage of team development, there are a lot of exploration, the team members get to know each other. The first impression is always the key, they will try to show their best side, pay attention to their words and behavior. Team members often do not know whether they will be accepted by other members or not. Generally, in the period they do not have a clear team goals and related information activities. The performance is unsteady of some team members and they will also worry about the prospect. When problems occur, team members will wonder whether they can trust each other.

In addition, team members may get impatient at the slow progress. This frustration may be directed towards other members of the team. After the forming stage, members start to gain confidence, but also the formation of a variety of ideas to encourage competition, appears interpersonal conflict and differentiation. Face with the views and opinions of other members, but want to show their strengths. For team goals, expectations, roles and responsibilities of dissatisfaction and frustration has been showing out. Among team members, between the team and the environment, there will be conflicts between the old and new ideas, and even the person in charge of the authority is challenged, the principles of the team will be impacted. As a team leader should have the ability to resolve conflicts and deal with the problem, creating a positive work environment. First and foremost is how to appease public feeling in turbulent period. First of all, to recognize and deal with all kinds of contradictions and conflicts. For example, some or one of the team member are more dominant, then the leader should be timely resolve these authorities and rights, and definitely not with a person 's right to suppress other people 's contributions.
