This the second stage of group development where conflict and competition are at its greatest. This state is a result of group members understanding of the task and a general feeling for who they are as a group and who group members are. In light of this, Ms. Zamora was in conflict and great misunderstanding with the team members. This the stage where more dominate of the group members emerge while other less confrontational members stay in the comfort and all members have increased the need for clarification. Moreover, during this stage of development questions surrounding, authority, rules, evaluation, and reward system tend to arise and such questions must be answered must be answered so that the group can move forward. Individual members of this group react to what to has to be done, question authority, and feel increasingly comfortable being themselves. In this stage of group development, the members increase their skills and develop their knowledge through exchanging ideas freely amongst themselves thereby improving productivity in the group. At this stage, members learn to deal with differences that would hinder their togetherness at work to meet their goals. Typically, members in this group exhibit power struggles and conflict over the task and the structure to improve the productivity of the group. In some occasions, individual members in this stage polarize among the team members, test the group tolerance, and behave in flight manner. In the storming group, stage members are required to adhere to the core values such as truth, trust, and respect to ensure the progress of the group to the next level (Muller, 2015).
Preferably, I would call a meeting engage all team members and get know which position they perfectly fit in before the distribution of task begins. Also, I would seek information from my predecessor this helps in knowing the type of leadership existed before. In a situation like this I would make a point with an example, this is to avoid losing listeners interest. Again, I would try to set judgment by not liking or agreeing with their ideas, this helps to understand fully
