As you probably already know the Super Bowl is a massive event where two of the best football teams in the NFL take each other on head to head. This year was Super Bowl 51 and the New England Patriots took on the Atlanta Falcons. The Atlanta Falcons haven’t ever won a Super Bowl, but they were looking to do so on February 5th in front of 115.5 million people. The Patriots had already won four Super Bowl titles but weren’t going to stop there. The coaches of this team are Bill Belichick (Patriots) and Dan Quinn (Falcons). The Quarterbacks of these teams are Tom Brady (Patriots) and Matt Ryan (Falcons). The Patriots originally started in 1960 and the Falcons started in 1965. The Patriots are worth $3.2 Billion and the Falcons are worth $1.2 …show more content…
Tom Brady (Patriots) played college football for the University Of Michigan and was drafted by the Patriots in 2000. Tom Brady has won four Super Bowl MVP awards in the NFL. As you may know he was accused for deflating the Footballs in one of the 2014-2015 playoff game against the Indianapolis Colts. He was suspended for four regular season games in 2016. The Patriots were fined $1 Million Dollars and lost 2 draft picks.
Super Bowl Fifty One started of good for the Falcons with a 21-3 lead against the Patriots. In the last quarter the Patriots came back by 25 points to tie the game. The game was forced to go into overtime and as the Patriots were a single yard away from their 5th Lombardi Trophy. It was 2nd down and Tom Brady tossed the ball to James White and James dove to into the End Zone barely getting the ball past the line. THE PATRIOTS WIN THE SUPER BOWL!!! THE PATRIOTS WIN THE SUPER BOWL!!! Only about 80,000 people got to witness the Super Bowl in person and these people had to pay about 4.3 thousand dollars!
This Super Bowl win was revolutionary for the NFL. The New England Patriots came back by 25 points and scored 31 points after halftime. Unfortunately for the Falcons, they go home again without ever getting a Super Bowl win. As for the Patriots they go home with their 5th Super Bowl win.
