Playing a high-school sport in this time period can be very demanding. You are constantly fighting the battle between what would make my coach happy and what would make me a better person. Should I help the person who tripped get up, or take the ball and run, leaving them lying on the ground? This advertisement is a scene of someone making that decision. It's not your normal, everyday athlete either. It's someone who struggles to do things on their own but can figure out that they need to help someone up. Why can't every athlete do this? This commercial opens up with cheerful music in a picturesque scene. The current scene takes place at a Special Olympics track meet. There is a group of six runners who take off running. The boy in first place suddenly takes a tumble while everyone else continues running. While running by, one of the female runners stops and gives him a hand to get back on his feet. Not only does she help him up, the whole group of runners come back to run with him to the finish line. As they are crossing the finish line the words"Sportsmanship, pass it on" are displayed across the scene. While grabbing your attention, the main focus of this advertisement was to encourage sportsmanship among athletes. The target audience in the advertisement was athletes in general, no matter what age group. While targeting …show more content…
The way that people would view this ad would change dramatically. If a normal kid had fallen and was helped up people would be more shocked and surprised. Especially, if the whole group of kids came back to finish with the fallen runner. The advertisement would have been much more unrealistic in that way. There was a lot of effectiveness by making you really think about your actions. Using a normal high school track meet would also not get you thinking about things like "Well if a special needs kid can do it why can't

Super Bowl advertisements are famous for their elaborate productions and are often are more talked about than the event itself. These commercials have become cultural touchstones, but the advertisements have one job and that is to convince a potential customer to buy or use a company’s product or service. The Weight Watchers advertisement is a perfect example of how effective advertisements can be in only a few short seconds. What this commercial is really selling underneath its veneer of supposed helpfulness is emotional manipulation as it preys on people’s insecurities regarding their weight and shame them for eating food that may not be considered healthy. The primary audience for this kind of ad are people who emotionally vulnerable and…

This ad progresses back in time through the life of a dastardly man whom caused many crimes in his life such as bank robbery, possible rape, manslaughter, and animal cruelty among other things. The ad ends on a woman asking a man if he has protection and he says what’s the worst that can happen. The unethical ramifications if this advertisement had been aired are more apparent. The ethical theme that this advertisement is trying and failing to represent is Justice. There are some famous people doing something big in their life that can motivate people to look for the impossible to achieve. Without using people from our world it wouldn't catch people's attention that much and what they are promoting wouldn't be the successful. In the commercial it says “ Winner of every sport”, it's trying to mean that anyone can be “winner of every sport” if they wanted to even though there might be people like the narrator that say that they can't be the winner of every…

American advertising and brands don’t always work in Canada. It is important for Star Athletics to know how to get the brand advertised and accepted by Canadians without being offensive. For example, when Ford launched a commercial ad in both the US and Canada they had to create two different voiceovers for the same ad, one for Americans and one for Canadians. The voiceover for American Ford commercials was a strong, direct & husky male voice, which did not test well in Canada. The Canadian voiceover is more jovial and upbeat, which came across as less aggressive, more personable and sufficiently humble – qualities more acceptable to the Canadian market (Meyer,2016).…

I think that the Winter Olympic commerical did a better job of promoting the Olympics and did try to make everyone watch the games. Compared to the other two commercial this ad had deeper messages like to work hard if you want to achieve somthing and never give up. I felt that it captured how any one can achieve greatness by training and pushing yourself which is shown in small clips. It promoted no gender bias and that important because doing events that seem “girly” doesn’t make any man not masculine and this relates to women as well. Another thing that made this ad a successful one is that it used all types of people that varied in ages and ethnicites.…

It has come to be known for encouraging people that watch basketball and him in particular that they were witnessing a very talented player. The particular slogan that pertains to the first two advertisements says, “WE ARE ALL WITNESSES”. Not only does this slogan convey the emotion of unity and power, but reinforces the idea that people watching LeBron James play basketball is a sport to not just watch but witness and experience. The slogan itself created a bandwagon theme that suggests that everyone who watches James are witnesses and that if one was to watch then they would be a witness and be great as well. Thus, the slogan created a sense of unity and connection to James and to whoever watches him.…

Every day we are exposed to an unfathomable amount of advertisements, yet for one reason or another there are a select few that we cannot seem to forget. As for me and my wife there is one advertisement that we both saw for the first time on Fox Sports 1 during a commercial break for a Monster Energy Supercross Event that has resonated in our minds. As I take you through my analysis, we will discover that both my wife and I remember the commercial for differing reasons. The advertisement that we will evaluate throughout this analysis was published on February 24, 2015 by Discount Tire, featuring their two sponsored supercross racers at that time (Chad Reed and Josh Grant) with their sons. While we first saw the advertisement on live television,…

The bright lights in the background with the green grass of the infield and the sun setting over the stadium makes it feel like it is an important track event that only the best make it to. This is by far one of the best ads Gatorade has ever made. There is just something about how they made their product come to life and presented their product as if it was the sports star that made it feel right. They did not need to use a famous athlete to get their point across like they have in the past and how other companies do.…
