Have you ever heard the saying, “have you ever wanted something so much it hurt”? Well, when I say it. I’m talking about literally hurting. Your legs are so sore, it feels like you can’t take another stride, your so out of breath from chasing the ball around, and your so exhausted from last nights practice, your bed seems to be the most attractive thing to you right now. Three hour practices of straight running, push ups, and sit ups has its pros and cons. Even at times when you feel like you need a break, pushing yourself through it is what makes you a better player. When you play a sport, you have to put your whole heart into it. In conclusion, I believe that the three most important components in playing soccer are team work, because you simply can’t play a team sports alone, sportsmanship, because everyone deserves to be happy and play the sports for the fun of it, and dedication, because some people take their sports very seriously. Playing soccer is one of the things that I miss very much and wish I could play everyday. I just wanted to share with you that it’s not only a psychical game, it’s a mental one as well.
