The aesthetic movement was during the late nineteenth century and one of its goals was to show pure beauty. The artists involved wanted people to see natural beauty. Therefore, when you look at art from this movement there is a great amount of portraits. The artists saw true beauty in their models and wanted to showcase that. Many young artists joined this movement, one of them being Simeon Solomon. Solomon was an aspiring artist at a young age. When he was 18, he already had a Royal Academy picture. He was thought to be on the verge of genuineness when he began working with other aesthetics artists. That was until he got arrested and his career was abruptly stopped.
