“Hi” is all he said before he raised the gun and the bullet pierced her chest. While Priscilla Davis lived through the experience, Gus Gavrel was left paralyzed, 12 year old Andrea Wilborn and basketball star Stan Farr were killed. Priscilla and Gus both identified the intruder as Cullen Davis, her recently divorced husband. Cullen was eventually acquitted of the murders mostly because of his superstar lawyer, Richard “Racehorse” Haynes. He was retried years later for soliciting the murders, but he was once again acquitted. With two eye-witnesses identifying him as the killer. The question still remains, who was the man in the mansion? Most likely, the killer is a hitman that Cullen Davis Hired to kill his divorced wife.

“ His first wife, Sandra, whom he married in 1962, accused him of slapping her in public and beating her in private until she had bruises covering her face”(Hollandsworth). Another real example of Cullen’s rage is an incident during his second marriage. “Dee remembers one terrifying night, she and Cullen got into an argument. When her mother, Priscilla, came into the room holding Dee`s pet kitten, Cullen lost control. And he reached over to her and he grabbed the kitten and he literally slammed that kitten on the floor and killed it. Cullen admits killing the cat and he also admits he slapped Dee once.”(Maher). The day of the crime was particularly normal for the Davis household. Cullen Davis at this point was living with his new girlfriend. As was his ex-wife Priscilla, the only difference is that Cullen wasn't living in the mansion he built. It was his pride and joy, his castle as it was known. The Davis family was going through a nasty divorce, “Two years into the proceedings, she was asking for almost fifty million dollars and the divorce judge had banished Cullen from his mansion.”(Maher). Besides bing banished from his mansion and potentially owing his un-earning wife copious amounts of money,
