There has been some debate about whether or not schools have the right to monitor their students’ social media. Schools do not have the right to monitor their students social media. Schools would be violating students fourth amendment right. The school violated their students privacy, first amendment right. The school did not have the right to suspend the student because it was off school campus and not on a owned electronic. These things still happen today. People video record each other fighting and even though it is off campus and not recorded on school electronics students are still being suspended or even expelled.
The Federal government should indeed have access to certain things. They should not have access to every single thing you have. Emails,social medias, texts, and phone calls are where we draw the line. Government should not have any access to these without a reasonable cause or unless they have your permission. It is against your fourth amendment right and first amendment right. You would not be able to speak freely without some type of punishment, and it searching you without a reasonable cause, just because they wanted to.
