Imagine a world where murder is legal. The average person would picture thousands of criminals killing people in the streets with thousands of others fleeing for safety. But think again. That world is here. That world is now. The only difference is those who are being murdered are unable to scream for help. In the United States and across the world, abortions are used to end the lives of babies with their entire lives ahead of them. Abortion should be illegal in all circumstances because it robs an innocent person of life. The abortion industry in America is greatly flawed, but the worst aspect of it is its refusal to acknowledge that a fetus is a living, human being. In the womb, fetuses begin to look more and more like the average newborn baby everyday. They begin to have human traits very early into the pregnancy. A fetus ' heart begins to beat at six weeks, brainwaves can be measured at eight weeks, and the child can cry silently at twelve weeks (Terwillinger). Adults and children who have already been born are able to do these things, yet no one ever questions their humanity. DNA is another important part of every human that adults, children, and fetuses share. It is what separates us from animals and other living beings and truly makes us who we are. Fetuses in the womb develop the DNA of a human, yet there are so many people who still believe that they are not really human and support the killings of these tiny, living people.
