Imagine a world where murder is legal. The average person would picture thousands of criminals killing people in the streets with thousands of others fleeing for safety. But think again. That world is here. That world is now. The only difference is those who are being murdered are unable to scream for help. In the United States and across the world, abortions are used to end the lives of babies with their entire lives ahead of them. Abortion should be illegal in all circumstances because it robs an innocent person of life. The abortion industry in America is greatly flawed, but the worst aspect of it is its refusal to acknowledge that a fetus is a living, human being. In the womb, fetuses begin to look more and more like the average newborn …show more content…
There is not one single person on earth who can say that they have never been physically hurt before. Babies still in the womb also share in this aspect of human life, even as early as a few months before they are born. When fetuses twenty weeks and older are given surgery while still in the womb, they are given medicine to numb the pain (Johnson). Physicians have studied these fetuses reacting to painful stimuli, so anesthesia is administered before surgery (Johnson). Abortion, of course, is something that would involve extreme pain for the child in the womb. Even though it has been proven that fetuses can feel everything that is happening to them after about twenty weeks gestation, it is still completely legal for abortions to take place extremely late and close to the time the child is due to be …show more content…
Late-term and partial-birth abortions are legal in America due to liberals fighting for the inclusion of a health "exception" ("Late-Term Abortions..."). Congress has looked into banning partial-birth abortions, but President Obama and other liberals insisted that this "exception" must be included: if the abortionist judges that the safest method of performing the abortion would be to partially deliver the child, crush its skull, and vacuum out its brains, then he/she must be free to do so ("Late-Term

Federal Government Should Outlaw Late-Term Abortion In 2013, reporter Sarah Terzo from Live Action News in Virginia indicated that late-term abortion clinic shoots babies through the heart with poison in order to kill them. This example is a good reason to why the federal government should be outlawing late-term abortion. No matter what situation the mother and fetus are in, every fetus should have the right to live a meaningful life. However, the federal government should outlaw abortion after the first trimester because many of the practices are inhumane, all fetuses should have the right to live, and the ways abortion can cause risks for the women. Late-Term Abortion Being Inhumane…

Motherhood should never be a punishment. Abortion is a fundamental right and should stay legal in all places for all people. A common misconception about abortion is that the child is able to feel being aborted and that it hurts the fetus. But what people do not know is that the child is actually not able to feel pain until around the twentieth week of gestation. Studies show that less than two percent of abortions occur after twenty weeks.…

Abortion Abortion has been a controversial topic for many years, some believing it is a privacy right for women, others believing it is murder. In 1971 Norma McCorvey filed a case under the name Jane Roe against the district attorney Henry Wade who enforced Texas law that prohibited abortion (except to save the life of the woman). She and other plaintiffs stated that the laws making abortion a crime were unconstitutional and violated the privacy rights of the women who sought to have abortions. The fourteenth amendment states “No state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States …” This is the statement that Roe argued the Texas abortion laws violated.…

In the news, we constantly hear debates about gay-marriage, police brutality, racism, and many other incidents in America that bring out the inner activists of our people. “When a man steals to satisfy hunger, we can safely assume that there is something wrong in society so when a woman destroys the life of her unborn child, it is evidence that either by education or circumstances she has been greatly wronged.” Said by Mattie Brinkerhoff. Abortion is increasing tremendously. There are 40-50 million abortions that occur per year, that means there are 125,000 unborn babies that die every day. In fact, Frank Pavone states that “If we took a moment of silence for each person lost to abortion we would be silent for over 100 years.”…

In 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court had decided to legalize abortions; since then, there have been more than 58 million abortions performed in the United States. According to Snyder in his article, “every single day, more than 3,000 American babies are killed by abortion.” Why is it that the 9/11 tragedy, which killed almost 3000 people, is still a huge issue up until today, but when it comes to the issue of abortion, almost everyone is taking it for granted? People might think that the unborn babies feel no pain, but believe it or not, surgeon Robert P. N. Shearin claims that they can experience pain as early as 8 weeks old! The issue of abortion has always been one of the most controversial political issues in the United States.…

Abortion is commonly featured in the media, however they package abortion in such a way that they specifically avoid taking a direct stance on whether abortion is wrong or justified, meaning they shy away from being Pro-life or Pro-choice. However, indirectly condensing symbols are often used. For example, using terms such as anti-life rather than Pro-choice or anti-choice rather than Pro-life to describe different stances on abortion have a negative connotation and subliminally reveals the media host’s opinion on the matter. Another example includes when speaking about abortion using the term baby or infant versus using the term fetus.…

Pro-life advocates tend to think that if abortion were illegal, there would be not more abortions. They, however, are false. If abortion were to be illegal, there would still be many abortions performed; they would be unsafe procedures performed by non-physicians who may botch the procedure, by the pregnant mothers themselves or by “back-alley butchers” (“Misconceptions About Abortion”). Modern abortion procedures are safe and sanitary. Access to legalized, professionally performed abortions reduces the risk of injury or death.…
