There is not one single person on earth who can say that they have never been physically hurt before. Babies still in the womb also share in this aspect of human life, even as early as a few months before they are born. When fetuses twenty weeks and older are given surgery while still in the womb, they are given medicine to numb the pain (Johnson). Physicians have studied these fetuses reacting to painful stimuli, so anesthesia is administered before surgery (Johnson). Abortion, of course, is something that would involve extreme pain for the child in the womb.
