September 11, 2001 has positively benefitted modern society by improving airport and airline security. First, the attacks on the twin towers resulted in there being a new federal cabinet department created and new security laws established("September"). First off, President Bush said "I can hear you. The rest of the world hears you. And the people who knocked these buildings down will hear from all of us soon."(Schultz). By Bush saying this made 90% of Americans vote for him, electing him president and starting a war on Al Qaeda. Bush set out a man hunt for Osama Bin Laden, who lead the attacks on September 11th. Secondly, the U.S. made a law telling all countries with terrorist groups inside of them not to pay any attention to them(Miller81).This proves that the U.S. is getting ready to fight terroristic groups and don’t want other governments to help them in any way. By doing so the U.S. Has started a war in Afghanistan and has been going on since. Lastly, the attacks on September 11 changed the U.S. foreign policy and the way they see terrorism(September). By doing this the U.S. is more open to attack terroristic groups on a bigger scale. They also start to look in to certain countries more carefully as they look for terrorist.
