Robert Morris was also known as the “Financier of the Revolution,” because he donated his own money to help special causes, like his support towards the troops at Valley Forge and the battles of Trenton and Princeton. Robert Morris came up with a plan in 1781 that became the Bank of North America and was the Superintendent of Finance under the Articles of Confederation. Morris was a delegate to the Constitutional Convention, he was offered a position of secretary of the treasury under the authority of George Washington.
