I was sixteen and basketball season had just ended. My mom had told me before I got my license that she would pay for gas only if I was in a sport, otherwise I had to get a job. Since I did not want to do sports anymore, I decided to apply to Subway. I had two choices to choose from. One, I could take the new job, lose all of the people I work with, lose the benefit of free food, lose the guarantee of good hours, and have the possibility of having a job I did not like. Two, I could stay at Subway which I knew was the safe bet, deal with the same thing day in and day out, and never get an opportunity to find something better. After struggling between the choices I decided to leave Subway to work at Joe’s Pizza.
