Personal Narrative: What Does Your Heart Say

Decent Essays
What does your heart say?
We as people do everything that someone say we should do instead of what our heart say is right. Ask your self have I ever want to do or say something but did not because some told me I was wrong or I could never be and that I was doomed to be where you are now. If this is you than you let people rule your life; I know I do the same thing. My hearts say I won’t be a single mother raising her son on my own. My heart say that I can reach the stars and have the moon to. My heart say that I am a winner not a loser I can meet greatness with a kiss on the lips. The heart is powerful it’s the reason you are a live so why not listen to it. Feed it until it grows in to a dream and put that dream in to action with your head

Every Life Matters I really only started understanding the meaning of abortion once one of my mom’s friends had one. Before that I had very little knowledge about abortion. My parents have always taught me to stand by what I believe and that others may have different beliefs. They always told me that I would meet people that would disagree with me and what I believe not only when it came to these kind of topics but many other things as well. Being told that, they told me to always respect people’s beliefs and their points of view because everyone has the right to stand by what they believe, just like I do.…

The pain began slowly, pricking me with its sharp needles only while doing barre in ballet once a week. I ignored it, believing it to be normal, common discomfort that would soon go away, typical thoughts of a dancer whose entire sport is centered around “good pain”. Six months later, it had escalated to the degree that every step I took felt like an arrow to my knee. Dancing had become impossible, and it was determined that I should be taken to the orthopedist. The bland, brown and beige lobby became extraordinarily familiar as I waited two hours to be examined.…

“It always seems impossible until it's done.” (Done Quotes). To start with a quote from Nelson Mandela about the impossible is how I began this class, I thought it to be impossible and how I would never reach the end of this class. As I joined in this class I figured my only goals were to finish with a passing grade and hopefully skim through the class enough to complete the course. I had heard stories from older students of the horrors this class brought through long essays and a tremendous amount of class work; nonetheless, I journeyed into the class and was quite astonished to find that the work was not difficult but inspiring and helpful.…

“The Tell-Tale Heart” was incredible from beginning to end. It was full of suspense and I didn’t expect the mental breakdown, although I should have. Then there’s “Ode to Joy”, pretty self-explanatory. “Ride of the Valkyries” always inspires me to act, even if the situation does not call for such dramatic music. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn was a delightful read, although I could barely make out most the words.…
