Introduction
Breathing is most essential part of life. The yogis of ancient times in India knew the connection between breath and mind. when we are angry our breathing will be disturbed and if you hold your breath then your mind gets agitated .To get some degree of control over mind they were able to influence the mind by controlling breath. Autonomic nervous system controls breathing which is automatic . The bio energy science including breathing movements is a practical yoga. In Bhagavad Gita, Lord Krishna tells that one has to practice yoga to purify himself to Arjuna . He says people who are towards the process of breath be away to remain and they practice stopping the outgoing breath movement into the incoming and vice versa and thus remain in trance stopping all breathing. some others curtail their eating process ,offer …show more content…
The movement of the diaphragm is used for the internal fire creating Pranic and Psychic heat. one Bhastrika is combination of Ujjaye and Kapalbhati.
This pranayama is done by first sitting in Sukhasana, siddhasana or padmasana and closing our eyes with tends on knees. these postures permit freedom of abdominal movement and put our body in stable position . the firmness of these postures is a strong requirement for this pranayama in which rapid breathing is required . we have to breathe in vigorously using both the nostrils and then exhale forcefully through the nostrils .one vigorous ,inhalation and exhalation with out any strain constitutes Bhastrika pranayama. It is more like a amplified form of normal breathing.
Ujjayi
