Personal Narrative-It's Time To Win In High School

It sucks to lose the most important game in your high school career in a complete blowout. It sucks so bad knowing you put so much work in practice just to lose ten to zero. It sucks how you were so hyped and so confident that you actually had a chance. I hate losing, I always wanna win. Who doesn’t hate to lose? I don’t play to have fun: I play to win. This game still haunts and gets me sad until this day. I don’t know why, but the flashback always manages to get me sad when I start thinking about it.
The day started off great, I had no school, due to parent teacher conferences, I woke up in a game day mood, and I was just preparing myself for when the time came. It was time to head out to tech. We met up there so we could eat some snacks. After that we relaxed and just started putting on our uniform. After that we watched a documentary, it motivated us especially because it was a from the mexican national soccer team. Soon enough it was time to head out to the game.

The closer we got to game time, the more and more nervous I would get. I don’t know about the rest of my team, but I’m pretty sure they as nervous as I was. The starting whistle blew and we were off. Seven minutes in and they scored and we just shook it off. It was just one goal and we remained calm because we knew a lot of time was left. Seven minutes later, they scored again. It was two to zero in less than 15 minutes. They just kept on scoring and scoring and it kept on bringing our morale down. Their student section kept on killing it with chants; just like their team was killing it out there.
