If you decide to give up there is no chance of being successful. I believe if you develop good habits now by working hard even when the odds are not in your favor then it will stick with you and become natural in the future. Although I follow this I still have times where it is hard for me not to give in especially when I’m going through a tough time with school or sports. I have had a lot of coaches in my life remind me to never stop trying. I will remember this game for my lifetime and one of the major lessons I took out of it was to not give up even when things are going completely wrong and against

There is a strong belief throughout the locker room that the Huskies are going to come out with a win, but the extra push from Coach Dale might send them into the “big headed” mindset. This is why Dale announces “there's a tradition in tournament play to not talk about the next step until you've climbed the one in front of you. ”(1) If one faces the obstacles in front of them before anything else it seems as if they will go a lot further. It becomes very easy for any athlete to think they will beat their opponent, but it is surprising how many upsets happen in the world of sports.…

We hadn’t played them yet so it was a surprise on how they played. Everyone showed up with smiles on their faces. We played our hardest this game and got three outs about half the time without letting them get any points in each inning. One girl on my team actually hit a homerun at this game. This was a big highlight to the game because it raised most of the player's spirits.…

Like all children all I ever wanted was to be big and do big people things. I engaged in a few family members that I would look up to and try everything they did. I use to pretend to go grocery shopping and being a parent at times. At the age of eight, I had worn the worst pain ever and that was watching my five, year old brother getting hit by a car while trying to cross the street riding a bicycle that had a loose chain. I remember him trying to get up and get to me, but a few adults that had witnessed the accident had told him to lay down.…

We won that game because of all the hard work we put into trying to win that game. And even though we were down 5 points at one time, the team and I did not let that bother us so we came back and won. To this day I haven't hit a home run since because of the difficulty for me to do it, but, I always remember, Put the ball in play and good things will happen. Moreover, I knew I was going to be on a young team with great talent, I just did not know what to expect. Our team was made up of three core players, which were eighth graders, and five solid, complementary players. We started the season strong with ten consecutive wins followed by a loss to Gate City in a Christmas tournament. After finishing the regular season, we had accumulated twenty wins and one loss which lead my team and myself to overconfidence and self destruction. We knew our mission from the beginning of the season . . . .…

The first time I learned basketball was when I am at the 6th grade when my physical education teacher registered me in a basketball summer camp. I used to be a shy and quiet girl but since joining the summer camp I started to socialize and have friends. After two months of learning basketball, I began to like it. Then, I started playing basketball in high school as part of my school’s team and I’ve been playing ever since. It started out as just an activity, and then became a hobby that’s something fun to do but later on, I found that I really like basketball.…
