My sister Elly is a senior in college, she was given a sports marketing internship down in Nashville, Tennessee. So last summer, she drove all the way there. She was going to live in an apartment with some of her sorority sisters (Alpha Delta Pi) on campus. Elly lived only ten blocks away from Bridgestone Arena. The place where the CMT award show would be at! Tickets were only 40 dollars, so we decided to head down to Nashville! It took 3 days to get there. When we got to Nashville, one of the firsts things that caught my eye was the AT&T building. From far away it look like a batman building! As we drove by, I noticed that there were sculptures on the sidewalk. They were pretty cool. The award show would start at 7:00. We left the apartment at 5:30 and took an Uber. In the Uber that we took, the driver said the Megan Trainor, and, Dan and Shay sat is this car! Elly and I got very excited! My brother on the other hand, not so much. As we pulled up to the arena, there it was, the red carpet! People were standing all around, watching as celebrities walked in. It was incredible! But we couldn’t stay for long, or else it would have taken was on hour to get to our seats. So we went inside instead. Our seats were in the nosebleed section but that didn’t matter to me. I did feel a little bad for all the people standing up right by the stage. Sure they’re good seats but standing up for 4 hours? No thanks. As the show started, I was anxiously waiting for my favorite singers. Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Eric Church, and so on. So the award show was on tv live right? Well, one thing that I thought was interesting was that after every commercial break, the announcer would count down to 5 and say, “Applause please applause!” and everyone would clap and cheer. I thought it was pretty cool. The award show was amazing! Carrie Underwood won 2 awards, Luke Bryan and Eric Church both won 1, it was incredible. We didn’t get home till 11-12, but that didn’t matter. We took an Uber back home, and I was so …show more content…
Exciting right? Not really. It was hot outside, and it took about 2-3 hours. Afterwards, we went downtown to eat at the food trucks. Every Thursday, food trucks would come downtown, and be open for business. Elly took her lunch break to eat with us, so she tagged along. We went horseback riding the next day. It was a long ride also. I was really sore afterwards. We went home after that, changed, on went on our way to the Smoky Mountains. It takes two hours to drive there, but I say it’s worth it. The view is breathtaking! One downside of all of this is the walk up the mountain. It’s about half a mile up, and it’s very steep. And there was no water, which stinks because it was hot! As we are walking, I see a family pushing up a stroller, good luck to that family! There is different locations of where you can go. We went to “Clingman’s Dome”. It’s where you walk up a long railing that leads to 360 degree view. There was a certain spot at the railing were Tennessee and Virginia meet. So I can say I was in two states at once! How cool is

On the bus ride we had lots of snacks including cookies, chips and a little bit of candy, we watched the Minions movie, and we played card games.
