I want to be able to share my knowledge and learn from others knowledge and experiences. A leader should be someone you look up to and who does the right thing. Anyone can be a leader, but to be a good leader you must be honest, respectful, kind and you must take responsibility of your actions whether they are right or wrong. Leadership and service go hand in hand. Leaders must serve the people they are leading. If a leader does not give back to the people he or she serves they are likely not doing a very good job of showing others how to act responsibly or what values are necessary to making their environment better. A good leader should volunteer their time and be willing to help …show more content…
I have been taking dance lessons since I was five years old so her story is very interesting to me. Misty Copeland started dancing when she was thirteen. Even though her family was very poor, she began to dance professionally only a year after starting to dance. Misty began to work for the American Ballet Theater and in 2015 she earned the job title of principle dancer. She was the first African American woman in the history of the American Ballet Theater to earn this title. I admire how hard she worked to achieve her goal and how nothing got in her way. I think it is amazing that she still pursued her goals even after being told that she couldn’t or that no one else had done it before so it must be impossible. Misty is a leader because she worked hard for what she wanted even though it had never been done
