In my own opinion a student who assaults a teacher needs some type of help.Who could ever began to think a person of such a inferior background grow into what Rod has today. He’s graduated from a High-Class Pennsylvania college. Rod as of now is running a all boys program keeping the kids that use to be like him in line. Rod is also married now with no kids, His wife and him are currently saving up so that they can start and build there house for there family they are planning to have later on down the line. A final person who overcomes serious obstacles to achieve something in life is Joe Davis. For some reason Joe’s story really stands out to me more than any of the other people I wrote about. He was a highschool dropout, and addicted to drugs, and known for mugging people. With all that being said you’d think Joe still be up to no good or most likely not living. Well in his case he's alive and a college graduate with a strong passion to help kids that are leading into the same darkness in life as he did. In regards to the three brave souls I have wrote about no one would should be able to say it’s hard for them to do anything in life based off there

In the words of Bob Riley, “Hard times don’t create heroes. It is during the hard times when the ‘hero’ within us is revealed”. The acts of perseverance, courage and humility are the details that differ heroes from the rest of world. Like white paint against a dark and rough background, these attributes cause heroes to stand out, differing from the rest. From dropping out of school as early as the eighth grade to joining the military, it’s easy to see the life challenges Chavez went through and what inspired him to fight for his dreams. From there, he met Dolores Huerta, a very notable activist who is still alive to this day. According to Huerta’s biography on Women’s History Dot org, she was born on April 10th, 1930, in Dawson, New Mexico, she was raised by her grandmother and had to experience her mother move to a whole different country to help provide for Huerta’s siblings (Womenshistory.org). However, today, his success in the 70’s that capitalized the improvement of workers’ lives to a limitation on the now-bottomless labor pool is overshadowed by the availability of “low-wage, marginalized, and exploited workers from Mexico and Central America” (The Atlantic para 24). Although many of his victories in the ‘70s were short-lived, Chavez has still remained a symbol for American farmworkers. He has continued to serve as inspiration for American politics as seen with Obama’s…
