Heroic Qualities In My Dad, Batman, And Charlie Davies

In the words of Bob Riley, “Hard times don’t create heroes. It is during the hard times when the ‘hero’ within us is revealed”. The acts of perseverance, courage and humility are the details that differ heroes from the rest of world. Like white paint against a dark and rough background, these attributes cause heroes to stand out, differing from the rest. Heroes’ actions speak loud and bold with determination to complete the task. Everyone plans to make a difference in the world, but only the heroes follow through. Three figures in my life embody these characteristics. As his son, I see his compassion and humility for his family countless times a day. His humility shows especially in times when he puts our needs before his and devotes his time to helping us solve our problems and needs before he even begins to think about himself. Spending countless hours, my dad works everyday to insure we receive a quality education. Not only this but he also takes time off to come and watch our sports events and competitions, showing true humility and compassion towards his family. My dad displays compassion and cares for others and makes it a priority to make peoples’ lives better, through sacrifice of his own time.
