Hope has moved from place to place her entire life. She hasn’t stayed in one town long enough to create special bonds with anyone, so she doesn’t have any close friends. Maybe Mulhoney, Wisconsin will be different. In the book Hope Was Here by Joan Bauer, Hope has always been trying to do her name justice. But when she moves to a small town in Wisconsin, her whole world has been turned upside-down. She has been waitressing for a local diner and even helping a man with cancer (G.T) run for mayor.
