Nursing Career Goal

When I was younger, I was always pushed towards the idea of nursing because it would be beneficial for everyone and myself. As I got older I grew to understand why my family suggested this field of study to me. I have my family to thank for my career path, and this is why after I graduate from the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA), I plan to make a career out of helping others who are in need. Nursing offers many opportunities, considering the demand for them in the job field are high.
At the same time, this career allows me the opportunity to repay and support my family, whom supported me throughout my life.
Working to help others are one of the many aspect that a nurse can do to keep the community more happy and healthier. Many

After graduating, I plan on applying to one of the biggest hospitals here in Anchorage. The hospitals that peak my interest are both Providence Alaska Medical Center and Alaska Regional
Hospital. As a nurse, I will use the knowledge that I learned from UAA into my work as I progress through the field. Learning about health, and actually using it in a real life application are two different things, so there is still more room to learn new material. In the work field, I will be alongside my peers and mentors. That way I can learn more hands on experiences from them. I plan to use this knowledge to communicate with my patients, so that I may better their health and keep them happy. Aside from the beneficial factors that come with learning how to be a nurse, this career will allow me to be able to support my own family. I live with my mother, and she is responsible for two elementary kids and one college student. She pays all the bills, all our school needs, and our food. My mother does so much and I want to take this opportunity to repay her for all the
