I also work part-time at Good Samaritan hospital as a PACU nurse, since September 2016. Transitioning from Mumbai to New York, never have I been more proud of being a nurse, as it is the adaptability that helped me stay focused and grow in a new environment. The experience that both these places have given me, by far, is the best critical care exposure I could receive. It is also working at St. John’s riverside hospital that motivated me to try and achieve my inherent goal of getting into the Master’s …show more content…
It is a dynamic, ever-changing field of practice where I have relied on my experience and it has taught me a lot. My time management skills are impeccable. Prioritization and scrupulous use of care plans and care management strategies help me in being a better critical care nurse. Working in the ICU is what I love, and being an ACNP will ensure that I get to achieve my dream of advancing my degree in a field I am truly passionate about. I will direct all my efforts into making the ACNP program my priority and graduate successfully.
Once I complete my degree, I intend to work in a critical care area in a teaching hospital. My initial goal will be to gain as much as hands-on experience in being an ACNP. There are a lot of hospitals that have NP run intensive care units; working in such a place after gaining my experience would be my major focus.
I am extremely hard-working, always ready for a challenge and will not backed down once I have set my sight on the goals ahead. It is this goal that I hope to achieve as an ACNP graduating from Drexel
