Every year the NACUFS hosted a small group of operators to discuss the challenge and success about college food services. Jon Plodzik, the director of dinning hall operation for the University of New Hampshire discussed about his staffing struggles because of the budget only half of his employees has full benefits and about 60 percent that have nothing but just looks forward for a paycheck at the end of the week. When you don’t offer any type of security for the employees they feel like there not secure and decide to look for job elsewhere. So what they had to do in order for them to keep their employees is to increase student waged up to 75 cents an hour.
