I really have not looked up different styles of writing let alone realized there was so many different types of it. My method is not necessarily a method per se, I have always for the longest time just wrote down as if I was speaking to someone. That to me was where my biggest praise came from, that I was able to write with such voice and was able to emulate my presence through the pages. When writing for an essay there is a period where I read and reread the question to gather all the information that is needed. It seems it is as though good thoughts come in short bursts and it is hard to have a good story revolve around one great moment. With that said, I try to keep good ideas and piece them together one by one to create something manageable. Sometimes it works out just fine, but the majority of the time these ideas become scrapped and are recycled for something else entirely. I have a habit of writing with music, the sounds encompass a tone that I wish to put down on paper. Certain beats and sounds trigger a specific response in my thoughts and in turn as I write down my thoughts my writing becomes more fluid thanks to the music. Though not all songs work, as the ones with lyrics make it a bit more confusing to put a coherent though down on paper. Though I have been told this is not wise as the tone of the paper will differ over time as the songs change. Which I do agree with this statement as it has occurred on more than one occasion. I however choose to listen to mostly instrumental hip-hop music as it is everything I love about hip-hop without the lyrics.
