Future Teaching Goals

Even though I am only twenty-two years old, I have already become accustomed to a teaching lifestyle. In 2012 I started substitute teaching during breaks from college and during the semester when I was available. I am overjoyed when I receive a phone call from the high or middle school about a substitute teaching opportunity. I thoroughly like helping students, teaching lesson plans and being in a school setting. Although I do believe this passion for teaching and the skills I have learned as a substitute will translate over to when I am a professional teacher, there are many differences between the two. …show more content…
Another present goal that I have is to work to pay off school loans. I am employed on my family’s dairy farm and I have worked there, on average 25-30 hours a week during the school year. During the winter break and summer I work in the range of 50-60 hours a week. The farm is a huge commitment but it has taught me discipline and many other values which will translate over to teaching. Alongside working on the farm, another present professional goal I have is to substitute at the school as often as possible, largely to build rapport with schools and learn more about teaching. All and all, my goal is to work as hard as possible in both a school and work setting in order to obtain my objectives in

There is no one alive who is Youer than You.” That quote has stuck with me since I was a senior in high school. The students spent their day going in between classroom instruction and group therapy or team building activities. I’m very proud of the fact that I was able to adapt my teaching methods to fit a classroom of varied student needs. Even though my teaching career has been short, my time at the BLC reaffirmed my belief that I am able and willing to share my love of learning with students in a variety of settings, and am confident in my ability to be successful in this new…

Furthermore, I expect to change the perception of students who think learning Spanish is difficult. I want my students to realize early on that learning a second language can actually be fun. Some of the most important things I learned, aside from inspiring students, is having strong classroom maintenance skills and just being comfortable to speak with large groups of people. The majority of the classes I observed had a minimum of 30-35 students, so having to juggle that many personalities is a pretty tough job. My cooperating teacher makes this look so easy, but she told me that classroom maintenance is something that I will learn as I progress as a teacher.…

As a child I was different, I waited for the weekends to be over, since once the weekdays started I entered my favorite environment, the classroom. For my entire life I have wanted to be a teacher, I feel the order and success that the classroom promotes. My teachers taught me more than basic education, they taught me that it is a teachers role to help students learn to live in the real world, and obey the system that is put there for their benefit. My passion exploded when I was adopted by the vice-principle of the local middle school. I have been blessed to spend time with him and see the interworking’s of a school, and how they impact children’s lives in ways nobody else can do.…

I will have completed my program of study in the spring of 2016 with an associate degree in business of applied…

It began as me just being her after school co-worker to me being an active part of her classes learning several times a week. I still want to do education within the community, but I think I would enjoy working with older adults rather than children. Although my internship consisted just of teaching children, I still believe is really important, I do not think it is my strong suit and would be a better fit in front of a different audience. I would like to start my career at a non-profit similar to CHP. I really enjoyed the outside aspect and learning about the farm work at CHP. I really surprised myself when working with the Jen and Annie and felt accomplished at the end of everyday seeing how many the volunteers where able to get done.…
