When I took the How to Find Out Your Style of Leadership assessment that was developed by the University of Kent in the United Kingdom, I found that I am skilled in all types of leadership styles, scoring closely in all types. One score was just a bit higher than the others, determining that my leadership style is Participative Leadership. This did not surprise me, as I do like to get others input for ideas and problem solving. Not only does this make the employees feel that they have a voice in the goings on at the company, but it gives me other perspectives in regards to problem solving, generating new ideas, and conflict resolution.
