Today I will discuss how a patients culture could affect communication with you and your healthcare team. I will also talk about what you can do to make sure communication is understood by everyone involved. When you are working in healthcare you will work with many different patients that have different cultural backgrounds.
Mexicans may have a huge communication problem with the Doctor and his or her healthcare team. It's already a problem getting them to go to the doctors. I believe that is because they don't like going t:o the Doctors office or hospitals When they are sick. They use traditional remedies. I believe since it was hard to get treatment in Mexico they used remedies
