You’ve probably eaten McDonald’s in the past two weeks, haven’t you? McDonald’s is arguably one of the largest fast-food chain restaurants that this world has ever seen, and on December 16th, 2016 audiences around the United States had the exclusive chance to be able to experience how McDonald’s came to be. While the past of McDonald's is well documented, the company tries to elude from the actual origins of the company. A persistent salesman in the 1950's saw an opportunity so great, he had to take the idea and pull it out from underneath the rightful owners. This man, named Ray Kroc, is claimed to be the founder of McDonalds. Once the movie “The Founder” was released, however, audiences all around the country were given the chance to see who the real founders of McDonald’s were. …show more content…
The drive-ins had their problems though, and the McDonald brothers felt those complications when they first started their drive in. After being dissatisfied with the quality and profitability of their business, they decided to redesign everything. They went into a micromanaging mode and surveyed the business down to its essence, this leads them to pitch their car hops and reducing their menu from twenty-five items to a minimal nine items. Mac and Dick Mcdonald were the brothers that solved the efficiency problem in food service, almost mimicking what Henry Ford did with the Model T production line 50 years before their time.
