The film “ The Founder “ is based on a true story of man named Ray Kroc ( Michael Keaton playing a small time businessman with a big time dream ) a salesman from Illinois , who builds his way up through the ranks of the business world . The film starts off following Ray Kroc on his journeys of being a salesman trying to sell milkshake makers to restaurants , mostly unsuccessful . Hes a quick talker , eager businessman , who’s life is comfortable but he always wants more, from the get go it is very visible that Ray has a great business mind and was very inelegant. During Rays journeys he runs across two men named Mac and Dick McDonald who ran a burger operation in Southern California in the 1950’s . Mac and Dic’s burger operation was very …show more content…
CONFIDENCE : The one quality that Ray Kroc did not lack was confidence . WE could see this from the beginning of the film where Ray was going to different business and speak with confidence selling is milkshake makers , then as the film progressed the confidence was flowing through the veins of Ray he walked into the McDonalds business as if he already owned the franchise , he then spoke with confidence to the brothers and minovered his way into the heart of the McDonald business .
2. CREATIVITY : This quality is directed towards the McDonald brothers . One facet of creativity is being able to make connections between seemingly unrelated events or situation , and this is exactly what the brothers did , they created the speedy system where customers would receive there food within 30 seconds of ordering there food , before this system was created you would have been called crazy if you had told someone that you were creating a speedy system .
3. STRONG WORK ETHIC : Ray kroc was often the first person to work and the last to leave , he would clean up the outside and always do check ups on the other McDonald fast food restaurants even if they were far out of his way showing a strong work ethic as well as dedication

FRANCHISING : Agreement with one party ( the Franchiser ) grants another party ( the Franchisee ) the right to use its trademark or trade name as well as certain business systems ( such as the speedy system ) . The Franchisee usually pays a one time plus a percentage of sales revenue as royalty therefore the franchisee already has imidiate name recognition , tried and tested products , detailed techniques in running and promoting the business and trained employees .
1) APPLICATION TO THE MOVIE : the most import link to Franchising in the movie is where Ray signed the Frachising papers to become the Franchisee and knock the McDonalds brothers out of there own business .
2) APPLICATION TO THE MOVIE : where ray Kroc said to his wife that he thinks it will never be enough , he was talking about franchiseing and he was stating how he wants to keep on expanding the McDonalds franchise
