This means the ideas, the brand, how you communicate, the design, print process, measuring effectiveness, market research and the psychology of consumer behaviour all count as part of the bigger picture of ‘marketing’.

The objectives of Private Organisations such as McDonalds and Cadburys are SMART (Specific, Measurable, Accurate, Reasonable and Time-specific).
Cadburys (Dairy milk):

The fact that we recognise the brand Cadburys means, we have a relationship with them but mainly the general public do not have a direct relationship with Cadburys. The general public are consumers of Cadburys as they are the end users. E.g. Children are potentially consumers as their parents but the product. The main/direct customers of Cadburys are the retailers and wholesalers (Makro, Tesco, Bookers etc.).
Objective of Cadburys organisation is to maximise its sales. The maximum sale an organisation does, the maximum profit the organisation gets. The more profitable an organisation is the more chances are for that organisation to be the market leader by expansion as well as cost limitation.
The second biggest objective of Cadburys is to listen to customers and respond to it. They supply/produce what is in demand, by meeting quality standards.
McDonalds (Happy Meals):

McDonalds also aims to be a high profitable organisation by higher sales like Cadburys.
They also aim to have a high standard of food by keeping in check the health concerns of the changing perceptions of the society and growth by creating their brand awareness through various promotions and advertisements e.g. eye catching billboards
