Liesel Movie Vs Book

Decent Essays
I mainly focused on the changes related to the characters, between the film and the book. I would like to explain some of the parts I thought were important.
Firstly, about the changes related to Liesel. At the beginning of the film, Liesel's brother dies with two eyes both open, in Mum's arms. But in the book, it said he died only one eye open, in Liesel's arms. I think it was showing the fact that it wasn't exactly a natural way of dying, which relates to when death was explaining itself and how he had an eye on Liesel.
Next about the changes that were about Max. In the movie, while everyone was hiding in the air raid shelter during the bombing in town, Max actually came out of the basement and came outside. Even though that scene ended

In my comparison of the movie versus the book, I will be laying out all the differences. The characters that the book portrayed differed from the movie greatly and this was mainly because the movie changed the character’s personality and introduced new people as well. My first statement is that Mr. Mantoli who is now Mr. Colbert in the movie runs a factory that is planning to open instead of in the book where Mr. Mantoli is running a music festival. This changes how the story comes across people because in the movie Mr. Colbert is planning to hire black people and pay them a very little amount.…
