These two differences are big, because it was not like in the book.
First the situation where Lennie sit at the end at the riverbed. In the movie Lennie and George finds each other in the riverbed and run in his arms. Lennie said him that he doesn’t forget, where he has to go if he is in trouble, but he forgot where this place exactly is.Then Lennie and George sitting on the ground and George has to talk about the future life that they have.
In the book Lennie sit at the end of the book at the riverbed and his aunt clara and the rabbit appears from Lennie’s head. They speak in Lennie’s own voice and trying to give Lennie a bad conscience.Aunt Clara said, why is he not listening to George and give him so many problems, instead of kill the puppy and the Curley’s wife.As aunt Clara will be a rabbit, tells the rabbit him that George will probably beat him.

Even it is not in the book, it has a good call, because you see that it is not in our century, but after the great depression.They worked hard, and don’t had a lot of technology or if they take a break to drink something, the boss comes and said they have to go back to work. Also that Lennie was a good worker will be clear in the working scene.That Lennie was strong, tall and fast with his work helps the farm a lot.There you can see that George was so proud of him. This scene shows that Lennie is not only bad or different, he is a good worker.Steinbeck would like these scene, because he wants that Lennie look not only as a bad person who killed somebody, he wants that Lennie is a good person and
