LeBron James Two-time NBA champion, two-time Finals MVP, four NBA MVP are just a few of the many awards that LeBron James has received. The journey to win these awards started rough for LeBron, but after help from people he started succeeding in his life. He had successful four seasons at St. Vincent–St. Mary High School where he played basketball and then went straight to the NBA. In the NBA, LeBron broke multiple records and won two NBA title. He still continues to play in the NBA today and works hard to win a championship for his hometown of Cleveland. LeBron James has had a successful journey throughout his childhood, high school, and NBA. To begin his journey, “LeBron James was born on December 30, 1984, at Akron City Hospital to Gloria Marie James and Anthony McClelland an exconvict.” (“LeBron James Biography”) When LeBron was still a baby his father, Anthony, left him to be raised by his 16 year-old mother, Gloria. Since his mother and he were poor LeBron was forced to move around a lot, which caused him to miss school often. “When he was in fourth grade, he missed 82 of the total 160 school days.” (“30 interesting facts about LeBron James”) His mom, Gloria, realized that he would be better off with a more stable family, she sent him to live with Frank Walker.
