There is very little or no intervention by the leader and so the group operates entirely on its own. The way of communication is free flow. The manager does not use power but maintains contact with subordinates. Therefore, subordinates have to exercise self-control. The laissez-faire leadership style helps subordinates to develop independent personality. Under this leadership style, there are some numbers of advantages. To begin, it can be illustrated that there is rather a positive effect on job satisfaction and moral of subordinates. Initially, it also gives opportunity to take initiative to the subordinates. There is maximum possible opportunity for development of subordinates. However, certain disadvantages are also affiliated to this type of leadership style which can be overseen or bypassed.
