Scenario 1
In the first scenario, it can be observed that John is managing the team with an Autocratic type of leadership. This can be implied in the situation because he manages the team by himself by making decisions without consulting the other members of the team. This type of leadership is centred in the boss which has the authority and responsibility for the whole team. Autocratic leadership can be crucial and advantageous in some situations such in a small group. The roles for each member are clearer as the manager assigned it to each of them. This style is a Bureaucratic management where the manager make sure that all the team members follow the rules and procedure accurately and consistently. This certain kind of approach can sometimes be useful as it can maintain high quality standards in situations that require attention to details. However, with this management style the independence and creativity among the members of the team are prevented and discourage. In some situation, this can lead to absenteeism, resentment and can also reduce long-term productivity as employees become bored with their work such as in the scenario. Thus, to address this situation it is important for every team supervisor to have an open communication between the employee. This will promote a harmonious relationship between the supervisor and employee as they can approach her every time they encounter a problem. Additionally, it is important for the supervisor to encourage the employee to share their thoughts and ideas as this will boost their moral and confidence in work, think that they are part in decision
