Security In Laguardia

A major problem surrounding the community of LaGuardia Community College is the lack of security there is on campus. Being a student of LaGuardia, my friends and I have noticed how easy it is for anyone to slip past the security guards without having an ID or a method of verifying who you are. There are many opportunities for vigilantes to disregard them and commit unlawful crimes, although the probability of that may be unlikely. For example, during the beginning of this semester, there was a series of alarms being pulled for no reason and this was event that took place during a range of two to four weeks. This event happening on multiple occasions was extremely disruptive towards the learning time and often caused students and faculty to stand outside for a while. There was a day, when I was receiving tutoring in the B building and someone had pulled an alarm, causing everyone to evacuate the building. the opinions and thoughts of the Public Safety Department staff of LaGuardia CC. I would select the most emotion-based approaches from the students/teachers about how unsafe they feel on campus upon realizing this. I would probably put more emphasis on them because this is the opinion that I share and agree with the most. I understand it is rather unfair, but this has gone on for quite a long period of time and nothing has changed. The overall problem could be the lack of security and the limited amount of security guards per square yard. I understand that there is usually only one security guard in the front and thousands of students that come in and out of the school doors, which would be more essential to hire more of them. I would also opt to hire more security cameras and even a metal detector wand, just in case they see suspicious activities or
