Guns Should Not Be Allow On Cerritos College Campus
Guns are extremely dangerous. They are more harmful and deadly than most other methods people use. We should not allow gun on Cerritos college campus because it can lead to reckless behavior, it might cause lower enrollment due to safety expectations, it might lead to useless/accidental death, it is likely to increase in both homicides and suicides, it is likely to increase the death of campus police officers, and it might lead to inconveniences to the professors

I believe we all want to go to a college that is comfortable and safe to be at. It scares us to think that a psychopath or a crazy person could possibly be going to the same college as we are with a gun in their possession. The thought of thinking I might confront or get into an argument with someone that uses a gun to defend themselves is scary. That makes us frightened because we cannot express out our feelings in school just because we are scared we might end up dead for no reason. That a good person with a gun will stop a bad person with a gun, so the more firearms carried around, the safer Cerritos college campus becomes. On the contrary, it can cause more danger than protection. We believe that carrying firearms around the classroom, library et al. is just asking for misfortune. Most of us on campus are teenagers, which makes it unsafe because teenagers can do many reckless and dangerous things without thinking it through. Most student that cannot defend themselves physically will most likely use a firearm for self- protection. Why would anyone think it is a good idea to allow firearms on Cerritos college campus? The presence of guns makes an act of domestic violence much more likely to end up in death. We need to ensure that Cerritos College is safe from gun violence. We believe guns does not make a place safer people do. Students can be protected on campus in some other ways than being allowed to carry guns. Cerritos College should have more police officers, and ensures that they are well equipped and trained for the safeness of the campus. To prevent campus shooting, we need to increase efforts to identify and treat disturbed students. For the sake of people's lives, guns should not be allowed on Cerritos college campus.
