Confidence Confidence is defined in the way of trust, self-assurance, and a state of feeling certain about the truth of something. I have always taken confidence as the way you feel about yourself so that does go along with self-assurance. I have always had low confidence but I know that I am not the only teenage girl that suffers from it in today’s society. The way we approach someone’s self-confidence is different in today’s society and there are so many men and woman that have long term effects from being bullied. It is not always someone that does not know that has to bully you. It could be a friend or a family member and you could just shrug it off like it did not happen. Whenever my grandpa was alive he would always tell me that I was gaining to much weight and I looked fat. I remember when we would sit at the dinner table and my brother could have three or four helped g and if I even barely had one he would be like don’t you think that is enough for how much you weigh at this moment. That was a real confidence killer if your own family is telling you that you are fat. It also sucked whenever my family would ask for my size during my birthday or Christmas time and I would tell them they would say are you sure you can fit into that. That not only hurt my feeling it made me feel less confident.
