After gathering information, observations and forming a needs assessment survey it is important for the HR Department to advantage of the second stage, which is data collection and identifying training needs. Data collection and identifying training needs often correlates as the organization begins to analyze results, and discover opportunities for improvement within the organization. This review will explain some of the processes steps that were taken during the data collection process, as well as, the information that was gathered from the needs assessment survey, and lastly the training needs that are recognized. To begin, the needs assessment was drafted with 25 questions that closely correlated with some of the possibly perceived needs determined by the observer. The questions were conducted in the back room of a corporate retail store before their scheduled opening. The assessment was created to be effective, but also provide convenience to the participants; therefore the assessment offered a “yes “ or “no” format with a square box left for addition comments. Lastly, the participants were able to complete the questionnaire within 30 minutes.

To begin, training towards management may be needed to express the meaning of feedback, or the method may have to be changed in a way that the consultants perceive it as tool for improvement and not ridicule. Next, it may be beneficial for the team to receive training on the benefits of teamwork, as well as, the roles they could possibly play. Lastly, maybe management and team could work on communication openly as it comes to stressful topics, for example, monthly goals and objectives to eventually construct an increase in overall
