1) During the week, I am usually preoccupied with school homework, extra-curricular activities and as a result, I go to bed early so I am able to wake up the next morning to complete the same routine. The only time I spend with my family is during dinner when we eat together. Eating together is considered a family standard to maintain the relationship. Now that my sister is at university in Ottawa, I don’t get to see her as much as I used to; and because some of my weekends are also occupied by school homework and math classes, I don’t get to spend time with her when she visits on the weekends. Overall, during the 5-day week, I don’t spend as much time as I would like to with my family.

This is shown in the way they react when I commit a sin. Friends could stay mad at each other till the world ends, however my parents can’t last a day without saying a word to each other or my sister and I. Despite my rude and rebellious behaviour and my disobedience on a timely basis, my parents still love me. This love is shown in the purchases they make on electronic devices, shoes, clothes and et cetera just to certify our happiness. Additionally, they never fail to put the two of us before themselves in any situation. They have already decided to work the money to send the two of us to the best universities despite the great expense. Despite the fact that they weren’t able to benefit from all that we have over the course of our childhood, they want to give us what they never had, but even better. This is representative of unconditional love, which God had demonstrated as an example, for each of his …show more content…
As a result, we take for granted the effort they put into making dinner each evening, we take for granted them picking us up at our extra-curricular activities every day and we take for granted all the favours they do, just to make us happy. We do this because we get too caught up going to parties, spending time with friends, and even finishing our homework. It would require a great deal of practice and patience, but I believe I could accomplish the state of mind and emotion referred to as "radical forgiveness". For many years I responded to situations as a victim, believing I wasn't good enough or blaming others for my choices. As an adult, I try to assume responsibility but old habits die hard and it is a struggle at times to push the victim away. When I consciously choose to not be a victim it is empowering.…

Every Life Matters I really only started understanding the meaning of abortion once one of my mom’s friends had one. Before that I had very little knowledge about abortion. My parents have always taught me to stand by what I believe and that others may have different beliefs. They always told me that I would meet people that would disagree with me and what I believe not only when it came to these kind of topics but many other things as well. Being told that, they told me to always respect people’s beliefs and their points of view because everyone has the right to stand by what they believe, just like I do.…

Because of this, I was able to grow up a confident person, I always spoke my mind and feelings, and was able to process any emotions with the help of my parents. I think that because of the environment I grew up in, it is fitting that I am in a counseling program. Most of my childhood experiences and lessons helped me to be empathetic, communicative, and strong willed. Some people believe that workaholism involves a personal reluctance to disengage from work and a tendency to work or think about work anytime, anywhere. Hamilton and Denniss define that workaholics are those “who are driven by inner compulsion” (2005, p.12). While others define workaholism as a form of self-imposed expectation of their performance in work. According to Quick, Henley and Quick, this expectation “can be directly related to the level of psychological involvement one feels toward that role” (2005, p.39). In brief, workaholism is a psychological addiction to work and it is an illusion of needing to keep working continually.…
