Personal Narrative: The Day It Came

Everyone remembers the day it came. I was just doing normal kid stuff when I heard a loud bang. I didn’t think much of it because there was occasionally loud noises in the area so I went on with my day as if nothing had happen. Later that night I woke up to an uneasy feeling that something bad had happen but I just tried to go back to bed. I tossed and turned and I could not go to sleep so I went down to get some water when I heard my parents talking about something strange.
“We don’t even know what this object is.” Well we can’t be to carful we don’t know what or who sent this her.” “You should go check on nick.” I quickly ran up the stairs silencing my footsteps so no one can hear. She said she hadn’t and that I shouldn’t worry about it. I felt sick to my stomach she had lied to me she had to know what it was she was talking about it. Whatever it is it must be bad if my mom won’t even tell me what it was. I decided I must know what it was so I decided to sneak out the house. That’s when I saw it was a small box engraved in some sort of writing, and was black and blue I decided it was best not to touch it. Every thing was fine for the first seven years, I moved out of my parents house, got my own home and I lived alone with just my dog. September 21st was when it began I was sleeping when I heard a loud bag I could tell it was a gunshot I went to go turn on the TV and when I turned it on it was on the news it said the world was being invaded by aliens.
