Personal Narrative: Every Life Matters

Every Life Matters I really only started understanding the meaning of abortion once one of my mom’s friends had one. Before that I had very little knowledge about abortion. My parents have always taught me to stand by what I believe and that others may have different beliefs. They always told me that I would meet people that would disagree with me and what I believe not only when it came to these kind of topics but many other things as well. Being told that, they told me to always respect people’s beliefs and their points of view because everyone has the right to stand by what they believe, just like I do. Like I said, I only started understanding what abortion really meant when my mom’s friend had one, so at the time I was probably about

My key life lessons are that nothing beats hard work and if you treat others with respect, they will generally treat you with respect. Hard work and effort are the main aspects that lead to “lucky” things happening. Good things don’t just fall into people’s laps, the ones that have the most “luck” generally are those that put in the most effort and work. Also, I have learned that when you truly respect those around, they will respect you back and life is much easier when you aren’t doing things behind each other’s backs.…

Life is simply perspective. Some say that you have your whole life to do something, while others will argue that life is short and you should enjoy it to the full extent of it’s worth. You can look at something as exquisite, or atrocious. It doesn’t change what it is, but it changes your reaction to it. No matter how sure you are about the morality, someone else could view it differently.…

As a doctor, I see an enormous amount of teen and unwanted pregnancies. I also see mothers decide to have a baby with the intentions to raise and take care of the child, but sadly, not all mothers are mature enough to raise a baby, and eventually let another family member take the child. In todays world, women who are considering an abortion are forced to decide in just 24 weeks, and some politicians want to shorten that time or even abolish abortion fully. On the other, there are some people who are “pro-choice” meaning the believe the mother has the choice to abort the baby up to 24 weeks. I know of one case that is personal to me.…

Many people believe that women should not be respected if they had an abortion because they made that decision, and they see it as a sign of weakness because they can not take care of a baby. Also, many people see it as a murder this came from what a lot of religious and church goers have been telling the public. They see it as a really big sin because most of these people don’t understand the pain the women may had to go through in order to make that decision. I’m catholic i have been raised in the roman catholic church since I was a little girl. Maybe that has a big influence on me, but I don't believe in abortion simply because I don't think it’s the right decision.…

There are few things in this world that will strike more fear into the heart of a woman—or a man, for that matter—than an unplanned pregnancy. Now the woman faces a choice: does she carry the fetus to term, or does she terminate the pregnancy? There are countless reasons for both options, such as the mother’s health, the health of the fetus, religious views, and how the mother was brought up. There are some instances in which a mother could feel that she could not rely on her family for support, such as cases of rape and incest. In this paper, I will take a categorical approach to show you how abortion can be ethical.…

After conducting background research about abortion and relating it back to multiple moral systems, I have come to a conclusion about my own personal stance on abortion. First of all, I am neither completely Pro-Life nor Pro-Choice, however, I am not completely neutral either. Reading about the thousands of maternal deaths that could have been prevented had abortion been liberalized in various nations made me realize that I am okay with the act of abortion. I see no problem with women taking charge of their bodies when they believe that abortion is the right choice for themselves. Because, in reality, how would one know whether or not an abortion is the right thing to do until it is their own decision to make?…

Although abortion is legal in the whole United States, there still have a groups of people want to make change to this because they think abortion is an immoral killer. On the other hand, rather saying an abortion is an immoral killer, some people might think abortion is a relief toward the mother and the fetus. In fact, no one is qualified enough to make comments on a female or teen who make such a decision because they would never know how they feel when they are in the procedure. Perhaps, some people may ask, if you do feel sad about this choice, why are you still doing this. It is completely understandable that the life circumstances have push them to this kind of the situation.…
