Due to no mission and vision statements there is no direction for the company. With the lack of direction the company doesn’t know how to direct daily activities. King Company INC.’s upper level management needs to develop a mission and vision statement and have a department head meeting to share them. The mission and vision statements need to be readable by all employees in the company that it is ment to motivate. Each department needs wright a mission and vision statements approved by upper management. Once approved a staff meet should be held by the departments to share the mission and vision statements. Communication can hold a company together. Lack of communication causes confusion and issue like the fraudulent data collection to occur, HR to hire too many staff and the current state of the company. Communication can end in situations like the ones in my e-mails. The changes being made in benefits where not communicated to the proper department before they were e-mailed to all staff. An example is the tiuation assistance program; police has to cover 100% of the staff. If the plans for benefit changes was communicated to HR benefit department, they would have been able to provide information on how to stop the benefits with out opening the company up to legal issues. This lack of communication has to be corrected before more issues arise. Parts of these issues require a legal consultant to make sure the company is fully protected with these changes.
