Abstract

All managers require a mix of technical, human relations, conceptual and design, and business skills in order to successfully carry out their jobs. HR managers are no different, so all leaders in management skills to improve organizational performance. (Lussier, 2016, p. 14). Human Resource managers are responsible for recruiting of adequate personnel in an organization. To recruit a suitable employee, some appropriate ways are needed. Organization should match the candidates’ interest, works attitude, educational background and experience with the job offered. Matching the characteristics of candidates with job specifications is needed to make a smooth selection. When the qualified candidates are recruited, they will be screened

Utilizing social media for sales, marketing, and recruiting can help a business grow. Depending on the business location, sourcing adequate personnel can be challenging. LinkedIn is an application designed to alleviate those challenges. LinkedIn has become a vital tool used by the working professional, assisting them with making connections or linking up with other working professionals to share what works and what does not work as well, as connecting them with local or online support groups or networking groups. LinkedIn has had a great impact on the Human Resource aspect of business. LinkedIn is a social networking site (SNS) that can be used by anyone; however, it is primarily used by professionals, recent college graduates, and businesses. LinkedIn was founded in December 2002 by Reid Hoffman. Unlike any other social media sites, LinkedIn came out of the gate targeting professionals, and establishing itself as a site for furthering one’s career as opposed to sharing personal updates with friends and family (Belew, 2014, p. 140). LinkedIn 's sign-up process involves a few main tasks. The privacy and security settings in LinkedIn are straightforward and simple to use. LinkedIn focuses on building networks to advance a person’s career and demonstrating expertise. LinkedIn is a very helpful resource for a both a person who is in search of a career opportunity, or simply wanting a different job, and for a business looking to grow their personnel with the right employees. LinkedIn is used on a monthly basis by over 21.4 million U.S. visitors and over 47.6 million globally, making it a great platform to not only search for personnel, but also to advertise one’s business in a professional
