Cosmetology has been around since 4,000 B.C, and it has advanced through time. Back then, they used things like soot, milk, and honey as beauty enhancers. Today they use things like minerals to make lipstick and powder for makeup. Cosmetologists can make great amounts of money and have lots of task. Cosmetologists are important because people around the world want to look nice and clean for things, such as interviews or celebrations, such as weddings, etc. According to the website, PA Career Zone, “Cosmetologists provide beauty services, such as shampooing, cutting, coloring, and styling hair, and massaging and treating scalp.” They are to be near and far sighted, so they don’t make a mistake. If they do make a mistake, they could lose customers or even part of their paycheck. Cosmetology is full of complications, such as, being precise, getting rejections, and other things. Some of the cosmetologists duties can be difficult or easy. The environment they work in can be a big part of why those duties are as easy or hard.

They work in a room, about medium sized, with their own little area usually with a big mirror, counter area, and all their supplies.There is usually no hair on the floor because they will have to clean it up after the last appointment. The work environment can have more than one person working in the area. There are usually 10 work areas for every person that works there. Cosmetologists work more in clean areas with pleasant surroundings. Cosmetologists work about 40 hours per week, but about one third of cosmetologists work part-time. Some hairdressers work alone or with others. People who work alone, could get more work done quickly. People who work with others will have more friends to talk to, so they might get less work done.
