Digitally Insane The average person spends 4 years of their lives looking down at their cell phones. (Ea) The use of technology in our world is clearly a growing problem for all ages, and needs to be addressed, especially since the production of technology is flourishing today. I believe that the human race needs a reality check in how much time they are spending on their electronic devices. Technology and electronic devices are affecting a multitude of things, including our health, social lives, schooling and work, and relationships. There are both advantages and disadvantages to the constant use of technology, causing the detachment from the real world. This is a very clear media topic, since the main source of media is from our electronic devices. Our human relationship have changed dramatically due to the constant use of technology in our lives. Yes, technology actually does have it’s benefits. For example, it can be life saving, if you ever need to call the police in the times of emergency. It also gives us humans a lot of freedom, and can be very helpful. It is accommodating for us, because it takes less time to do things with technology. Sadly, technology does have some downfalls. It can cause both physical and mental problems. It can also cause very bad car accidents. Many people rely on their phones for everything also.
