On one hand it has the power to educate and empower swaths of population with productivity tools and knowledge, while it also has the power to draw us into isolation, unable to live without grabbing that screen and sending a text message. We should not put an all-out ban on technology, but instead simply limit how much time people spend on it for non-educational purposes. According to Document 5, technology is capable of these amazing things, yet most of us use it for pointless things, such as snapchats and text messages. The solution to this problem is to limit our “screen time”, while reclassifying “screen time” as anything that is non-educational. Limit the number of hours spent watching TV and posting on Instagram, while encouraging the use of tech for education and information, with things like Google Docs, Wikipedia, and others. This way, we will not only enrich our knowledge and capabilities of the world around us, but spend less time wasted on video games and social
